Teachers' Travel can assist with hotel bookings and with air tickets.

Payments:     
Deposit necessary to hold a booking: 30%.
Balance due thirteen weeks prior to start of the holiday. 
Payments can be made by credit card, cheque or bank e-transfer.

If you cancel your holiday the following charges will apply:
More then 12 weeks prior to start date - loss of deposit.
12 weeks prior to the start date - 100% of the holiday cost.

Trip Cancellation Insurance: 
This is optional but we recommend that you purchase it.  Teachers' Travel sells Manulife Travel Insurance. Please ask us for a quote. You should also check with your credit card to see if you are insured as a benefit of the card.

Medical Insurance:  
Every participant should be covered by out-of-country medical insurance and should carry information with them about their insurance coverage.

Documents necessary:  For Canadians to enter European countries a valid passport is required. The passport must have three months validity after the intended stay in Europe.

Equipment: Although helmets are not mandatory in the Netherlands, we strongly recommend that you wear one.  Helmets are mandatory in Slovakia and the Danube Cycle Path goes through Slovakia.

Bicycles are equipped with locks.  
We suggest you bring cycling gloves and rain gear.

Guided Cycling:  
Although these tours are escorted, the guide cannot be with all participants at all times to warn them of hazards. We strongly urge participants to learn the rules of the road and to obey them. 

Mobile phones: We strongly recommend that you carry a mobile phone that works in Europe. 

Safety and Liability:
By making a booking you agree that Teachers’ Travel Service Ltd. and their associated tour operators will not be liable for any accident, illness, loss or damage to tour participants or their personal property. In any cycling or active holiday there is a minimum inherent risk and any participant must accept this risk as his own. The tour guide and local tour operators will do their best to make a holiday as safe and comfortable as possible but there are some things which are beyond their control. Every participant should make himself aware of the local rules of the road and should obey these rules. 

Living standards and practices at the destination and standards and conditions there with respect to the 
provision of utilities, services and accommodation may differ from those found in Canada.
