A guided walking holiday trail across the Lake District, passing through the pastoral beauty of the Caldew Valley and the wildness of the northern fells to the shorelines of Derwent and Coniston Waters. Highlights include stunning scenery around Derwent Water and Borrowdale, picturesque southern lakes of Elterwater, Tarn Hows and Coniston Water.

This is a 2-centre walking holiday with 4 nights at Derwentwater and 3 nights at Conistonwater

Itinerary: GUIDED TRAIL WALK
72 miles. 9 -14 miles and up to 2,000ft of ascent in a day

Day 1: arrival day.
Day 2: walk from the great Border city of Carlisle along the Caldew Valley to Sebergham.
Day 3: over rolling hills to the picturesque village of Caldbeck and on through the northern fells to Mosedale.
Day 4: around the imposing slopes of Skiddaw to Keswick and Derwent Bank.
Day 5: walk beside Derwent Water into the Borrowdale Vvalley, branching at Rosthwaite and Langstrath to cross the fells to Langdale.
Day 6: enjoy the Lake District’s wooded valleys and lakes as we pass Elterwater and Tarn Hows on the way to the shores of Coniston Water.
Day 7: complete the walk over the rolling open fells to Ulverston.
Day 8: departure day.
