Meandering through the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, this popular trail follows the riverside paths of the Wharfe, Dee, Lune and Kent, with superb scenery all the way to picturesque Windermere in the Lake District.

 84 miles. 11-15 miles and up to 1,300ft of ascent in a day.

Day 1: arrival day.
Day 2: Ilkley to Burnsall via Bolton Abbey and The Strid.
Day 3: along Wharfedale to Buckden.
Day 4: over the Pennine watershed to Ribblehead.
Day 5: beside the Dee to picturesque Dent.
Day 6: through Sedbergh and the Lune Valley towards Kendal.
Day 7: across the Cumbrian hills to Bowness-on-Windermere.
Day 8: departure day.
