Meandering through the heart of the Yorkshire
Dales, this popular trail follows the riverside paths of the Wharfe, Dee,
Lune and Kent, with superb scenery all the way to picturesque Windermere
in the Lake District. We stay in the same hotel for the week and each day
travel by private coach to start and end the walk.

WHERE WE STAY: THORNS HALL. With its unique ambience and peaceful
location, Thorns Hall will appeal to anyone in search of a relaxing break.
Dating from 1535 this small manor house retains its historic charm with
cozy public rooms, wood paneling and open fires. There are 24
en-suite bedrooms in the main building and in cottages across the cobbled
courtyard. Situated a few minutes' walk from the centre of Sedbergh,
at the foot of the Howgill Fells, it offers pleasant views and great walks
from the doorstep. All meals are included.
