GUIDED TRAIL HOLIDAYS   2012
Wales

Usk Valley Walk

A guided walking trail holiday in the Brecon Beacons following the beautiful valley of the River Usk. The River Usk is the longest river flowing wholly within Wales. From its source on Fan Foel in the Brecon Beacons National Park the river retains its natural course as it escaped the ravages of the Industrial Revolution that blighted the other rivers in south Wales. The Usk Valley Walk forges a natural route into the Brecon Beacons, the Black Mountains and the interior uplands, never straying far from the river and utilising part of the towpath of the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. We stay for a week in Brecon and each day are transported by private minivan to start and end the walks.
