This walking holiday is based in the town of Norcia, set in a valley below the tranquil green Appennines. It is excellent walking country and retains the charm of another age. Walks include the Piano Grande which is a sea of wildflowers in spring,  Monte Sibillini National Park and on a non-walking day, a visit to Assisi.

Price:   599 GBP     
Prices are per person for one week based on double occupancy without airfare.
Supplement for a single room 6.50 GBP per night.  
Double room for sole occupancy 14.50 GBP per night .
Allow approx 70 euros for transport to and from the walks.
Non-member associate fee is 5 GBP per person.

Included:
 Seven nights accommodation, breakfast and dinner daily, guided walking program.

Walking:  Two levels of walking are offered each day.

  •    Harder Level walks      8.5 - 10 miles.       up to 1850 ft of ascent over a day
  •     Easier Level walks      6 - 7 miles             up to 1100 ft of ascent over a day.
Hotel: GROTTA AZZURA. Dating from the 15th century, this charming three-star hotel epitomises the traditional character of Umbria.  Located right in the heart of the walled town of Norcia, the hotel has 46 en-suite bedrooms and a warm welcome from the Bianconi family.
For a taste of luxury, upgrade to the sumptuous 4-star Palazzo Seneca, a 16th century palace recently restored by the Bianconi family.  This partner hotel is just metres from the Hotel Grotta Azzura where you will dine with the group.  Suites start at 24 GBP supplement per person per night.  Holidays at Norcia are Half Board with a continental breakfast and a superb 3-course evening meal featuring many local specialties.
