Clinging to rocky cliffs and surrounded by steep terraced vineyards, the five enchanting villages of the Cinque Terre occupy one of Italy's most dramatic stretches of coastline. Slightly to the north, just a few minutes away by train, lies the charming seaside village of Bonassola, an ideal base from which to enjoy the popular coastal path and peaceful trails through the unspoiled hills.

Walking:  Two levels of walking are offered each day.

•    Harder Level walks      5 - 9 miles.       1800 - 2700 ft of ascent over a day.
•     Easier Level walks      4 - 6 miles         600 – 1300 ft of ascent over a day.

Hotel: HOTEL DELLE ROSE. Situated in the quiet coastal resort of Bonassola, this three-star hotel is well located just a stone's throw from the beach and with easy access to the Cinque Terre villages.  Brothers Enrico & Roberto Bernadin maintain high standards with their typical Italian cuisine and their 27 en-suite bedrooms which are modern and comfortable. The family also run the next door bar and ice cream parlour; a great spot to relax after a day's walk.
