This walking holiday is based at Mellieha village above the sandy beaches of Mellieha Bay on the Mediterranean island of Malta. This was once the crossroads of history and many different cultures have left their mark - megalithic temples, Roman catacombs, the fortified strongholds of the Knights of St John are just a few fascinating sights.

2009 Dates: One and two week walking holidays begin Saturdays Mar 7 to April 4. & Oct 10 to Oct 17.
Two week holidays Malta and Gozo are available March 21,  April 11 & 18, Sept 12 & 19.

Prices are per person for one week  (Malta) based on double occupancy without flights.
Supplement for a single room 8 GBP per night. 

Included:
 7 or 14 nights accommodation, breakfast and dinner daily, guided walking program.

Walking: Two levels of walking are offered each day.

  •    Harder walks     7 - 10 miles.    400 to  1,100 ft of ascent over a day.
  •     Easier walks     4 - 7  miles      200 to 800 ft of ascent over a day.
Hotel: SELMUN PALACE HOTEL. (Malta) This four-star hotel occupies a wonderful elevated position, 1.5 miles from the village of Mellieha and enjoys superb views of the countryside and coast.  Built around an 18th century castle the unique ambience and gardens make it a special place to stay. There are 138 en-suite bedrooms all with balconies, together with a large outdoor swimming pool, sauna and tennis courts.  Breakfast and dinner daily are included.

Hotel: GRAND HOTEL. (Gozo) Consistently rated very highly by our guests, the four-star Grand Hotel lives up to its name with excellent meals, high quality accommodation, and friendly and efficient service.  Many of the spacious 36 en-suite bedrooms have a balcony and lovely sea views over Mgarr Harbour.  The extensive facilities include an outdoor pool, spa pool, sauna, gym and cinema.
