Guided Walking in Britain

Northern Lake District
Derwentwater

Located in North Western England is the scenic Lake District. The Derwentwater area offers something for everyone; from walks through the charming wooded valley of Borrowdale and tranquil lakeside paths to classic ascents of summits such as Helvellyn, Great Gable and Scafell Pike. Speckled with tiny islands and surrounded by majestic fells, Derwentwater is a superb location from which to enjoy everything that Lakeland has to offer. The HF hotel is located in landscaped grounds sloping down to the lake jetty. The scenery is beautiful.

2012 Dates: Classic Guided Walking Holidays operate starting every Saturday weekly from Mayl through October. Walkers stay at the same hotel for seven nights. Days start and end with a short bus ride so the walks are in the most spectacular parts of the island.  Three different guided walks are offered each day.
