Located on the English/Welsh border this region allows walkers to explore Offa's Dyke, the line of earthworks dating from the 8th century and built by King Offa to protect the border. Here one finds wildlife, quiet lanes, castles,  market towns.

2010 Walking Holiday dates: Classic Walking Holidays start on Saturdays on the following dates: May 15, 29. June 21. July 10. Aug 21. Sept 11, 27. Oct 11. Walkers stay at the same hotel for a week.

Price:    529.00 GBP per person for one week based on double occupancy.
Single room supplement is 13 GBP per night.
Prices include 2 meals per day, en-suite accommodation, walks and leaders.  Allow approximately 30 GBP for local transportation.

.Walking: Each day there is a choice of two guided walks:
           
Easier walks        5.5 -  7.5 miles  Up to   1150 ft of ascent in a day
             Harder walks       9.5 - 11.5 miles  Up to  1825 ft of ascent in a day.

DRAGON HOTEL:  The two-star Dragon Hotel is a former coaching inn at the heart of a peaceful village.  It has 20 en-suite bedrooms, a bar, cosy residents' lounge and conservatory, as well as a sauna and an indoor heated swimming pool.  The restaurant has retained an AA rosette since 1999, for its excellent food, sourced locally wherever possible.
