South Wales offers the rolling mountains of Brecon Beacons National Park, wooded valleys, waterfalls and tranquil canal side paths through traditional meadows. There are dramatic castles and, for book-worms, nearby Hay-on-Wye which is famous for its many bookshops.

Classic Walking holidays offers the experienced hiker rugged walking along thrilling ridges and edges, and across expansive moorland hills. For the less seasoned hiker the Beacons offer the chance to explore natural forests, placid canals and the Black Mountains, to the east, which are long finger-like hills, enclosing lush green valleys. Brecon can be accessed by train to nearby Abergavenny.

2010 Classic Walking Holidays operate weekly starting every Saturday from May through October.  Walkers stay at the same hotel for seven nights. Days start and end with a short bus ride so the walks are in the most spectacular parts of the region.  Three different guided walks are offered each day. You choose according to your fitness and ability.
