Travelling through Utah, Arizona and Colorado, this memorable holiday encompasses the breathtaking scenery and epic landscapes of some of the USA's most dramatic National Parks.

Guided Walks: Walks are generally around 2-4 miles with little ascent or descent.  A slightly shorter walk may also be offered.  In the Grand Canyon, the choice of walks includes the much harder option of descending to Plateau Point with up to 3,080.00 ft of descent and re-ascent.  Some walks follow paved paths, others are on more rocky terrain.

Hotels:  Mostly modern hotels with excellent facilities. Some are inside National Parks, others are in the nearest possible locations.  Almost all are set amidst stunning scenery. Included:  14 nights accommodation  in twin- bedded  en-suite rooms. Breakfast and Dinner plus 2 picnic lunches.  Services of  a courier/driver, an HF Holidays' leader and local guides.  Walks, sightseeing, entrance fees and travel by air-conditioned coach.
Itinerary:
 
Day 1: Las Vegas - 1 night
Evening arrival in Las Vegas.
 

Days 2 & 3: Zion National Park to Bryce Canyon - 2 nights
Drive to Zion National Park, a green oasis in the desert, for walks to the Lower and Upper Emerald Pools. We continue to Bryce Canyon for walks in one of the world's geological masterpieces.


Day 4: Capitol Reef National Park to Green River - 1 night
A beautiful drive through Capital Reef National Park to Green River, with afternoon walks along the Fremont and Grand Wash Trails.

Days 5 - 7: Green River, Canyonlands National Park and on to Moab - 3 nights
Continue to Moab where we walk in the Canyonlands National park, a photographer's paradise with its sandstone spires and pinnacles, and visit 1,000 year old petroglyphs on Newspaper Rock. An exploration of Arches National Park, an area that contains the world's largest concentration of stone arches, is followed by an evening curise on the Colorado River.

Days 8 & 9: Canyonlands, The Needles to Cortez - 2 nights
We travel through Navajo country to Cortez, in the Mesa Verde National Park, and visit the spectacular cliffside ruins of the Anasazi Indians.

Day 10: Monument Valley - 1 night
Four-wheel drive vehicles take us into the heart of Monument Valley, one of nature's most artistic creations and backdrop of scores of Western films.

Days 11 - 13: The Grand Canyon - 3 nights
Visiting the Navajo National Monument en route, we arrive at the Grand Canyon, carved out over millions of years by the Colorado River. We visit the most famous viewpoints and walk along the rim, with the option of a descent into the canyon for those who wish.

Day 14: Return to Las Vegas - 1 night
Return drive to Las Vegas to view the bright lights.

Day 15: Journey home
