A holiday bursting with adventure in the spectacular mountain kingdom of Nepal - ancient cities of the Kahtmandu Valley, the massive Annapurna mountains and the rich wildlife of Royal Chitwan Safari Park.

Guided Walks:  Distances are between 4 and 8 miles with a maximum ascent of about 2,700 ft. Paths are easy to follow though rough at times.  On the Annapurna trekking option there will be six hours walking on most days at altitudes of up to 8,000 ft.

Hotels: In Kathmandu we are accommodated at the Park Village Resort, a very comfortable hotel on the outskirts of the city, for 3 nights and a comfortable hotel in the centre of the city for our last night.  All other hotels are comparatively luxurious lodge or resort hotels with very good facilities.  On trek we camp in relative luxury will full trekking facilities and a team of porters. Included: All prices are per person and include:  15 nights accommodation in  twin/double en-suite rooms or in twin-bedded tents on trekking option.  Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner from dinner on arrival until breakfast on departure. All internal flights.  Services of local guides, trek support staff on the trekking option and an HF Holidays' leader.   Walks, sightseeing, entrance fees and travel by minibus or coach.
Itinerary:
 

Day 1: Depart UK

Days 2 - 4: Arrive Kathmandu - 3 nights
We spend time absorbing the atmosphere of this fascinatingly different city visiting the main sites. The grounds of our delightful resort hotel will offer the chance to see an amazing variety of local birds and flowers.

Day 5: Gokarna - 1 night
Walk to Gokarna along a ridge through a beautiful pine forest, with lovely views of Kathmandu Valley.

Day 6: Nagarkot - 1 night
Explore the distinctive charms of medieval Bhaktapur and its striking temple of Nyatapola on the way to our hilltop retreat at Nagarkot.

Day 7: Dhulikel - 1 night
After witnessing sunrise over the Himalayans we hike the charming path to Dhulikel, a compact Newari town, enriched with artistic woodcarvings.

Day 8: Patan - 1 night
Travel to Patan, the second major city of Kathmandu Valley, full of Hindu temples and Buddhist monuments.

Days 9 & 10: Hattiban - 2 nights
Move on to Hattiban for a full-day walk, with majestic views of the Himalayas.

Days 11 - 13: Pokhara - 3 nights
We take short flight to Pokhara, in one of Nepal's most picturesque settings, where we walk along ridges and valleys in the lea of the awesomely beautiful Annapurna range, with time to relax in ethnic villages.

Days 14 & 15: Royal Chitwan National Park - 2 nights
A scenic drive takes us to the famous Royal Chitwan National Park, set in the lowland, Terai region, of Nepal. We can ride on an elephant, with close-up views of magnificent rhinos, and take a river trip in a dug-out canoe, experiencing something of the local culture with a visit to a nearby village.

Day 16: Kathmandu - 1 night
Return to Kathmandu for a farewell dinner.

Day 17: Departure
