Explore Capetown, the winelands and the Garden Route while staying in lovely character hotels. With ocean panoramas,  spectacular mountains, excellent food and wine and a chance to see wildlife, the South African Cape is one of the most beautiful parts of the world.

Guided Walks:  Distances are generally between 2 and 9 miles. Ascents range from virtually nil to 2,100 ft with some rough terrain and steep ascents.  On some days there are options to do harder walks including the ascent of Table Mountain which has 3,500 ft of ascent.

Hotels:  Four and five star hotels, lodges and guesthouses with real South African atmosphere and offering good standards of accommodation and facilities throughout. Included: 9 nights' accommodation in twin-bedded en-suite rooms, services of a local South African tour guide, an HF Holidays leader and additional guiding by park rangers.  Walks, sightseeing, entrance fees and travel by air-conditioned luxury coach. All meals are included.
Itinerary:
 
Day 1: Overnight flight to Cape Town  

Days 2 - 5: Cape Town - 3 nights
 Our stay includes spectacular walks on Table Mountain, which dominates Cape Town's skyline, a tour of Robben Island, the site of Nelson Mandela's imprisonment, and the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

Day 5: Winelands  -1 night
Enjoy a full day walk in the beautiful Cape Winelands with a specialist wine guide and then stay at Franschoek.

Day 6: Journey over the Franschoek Pass to Outsdoorn  where we visit  one of the famous ostrich farms.

Day 7- 8: Walk to the Meringspoort Waterfall and the Groot River gorge before heading to Knysna and the pristine coast of the Featherbed Nature Reserve. Continue to Tsitsikamma and discover the Tsitsikamma Nature Reserve in the heart of the Garden Route and walk to the famous suspension bridge at Storms River mouth.

Day 9 - 10: Experience Africa's remarkable wildlife at Kariega Game Reserve where we spend two nights. Game drives and a bush walk enable us to see lions, elephant, buffalo, leopard, rhino, hyena, hippo and giraffe as well as abundant birdlife.

Day 11: Transfer to Port Elizabeth for flight home.
