required: Moderate. The route follows the main road
around the Dingle Peninsula with sections on side roads
where possible. You should feel comfortable cycling on
roads with traffic. The route includes two short, steep
climbs over mountain passes.

Dingle, Ireland

Day 1 : arrival in
Killarney.
Day 2 : cycle
through the beautiful Killarney National Park stopping
at Muckross House and Muckross Abbey. Continue to
Killorgin on the River Laune (26 miles).
Day 3 : follow the
Atlantic Coast to the fishing port of Dingle. En route,
stop at Inch Beach. Spend 3 nights at Dingle (33
miles).
Day 4 : Take the
circular route around Slea Head, known for its
archaeological remains and one of the few areas where
Gaelic is still spoken (28 miles).
Day 5 : Rest Day.
Option of taking a boat ride to see Fungi, Dingle's
resident dolphin. Visit the fantastic aquarium or enjoy
Dingle's many craft shops and pubs.
Day 6 : Cross the
Conor Pass and travel towards the beaches of the
Maharees Peninsula. Spend the night in the quiet village
of Castlegregory (15 or 23 miles)
Day 7 : cycle over
the mountainous spine of the peninsula before following
the inner end of Dingle Bay to Killarney. Spend the last
night in Killarney. (30 miles).
Day 8 : departure
