Andalusia and Barcelona
Southern Spain

March 2 - 16, 2011

On this tour we stay in Spain's  Costa Del Sol and spend nine nights in a four-star, sea-front Parador in the Mediterranean town of Nerja (pronounced Nair-ha). Using Nerja as a base, we go exploring to visit the highlights of Andalusia as well as small villages and sun-drenched countryside. Our pace is leisurely and there is free time to sip sangria in a cafe,  bask in the sunshine, wander through small villages and browse through museums, galleries and shops. We then transfer by air to the exciting city of Barcelona for four nights to enjoy the historical, cultural and artistic highlights.

Tour Highlights:

  • Tour the vibrant city of Barcelona with its Gaudi architecture.

  • Explore the Alhambra in Granada with an expert guide

  • Stroll through Seville’s Old Quarter and the Alcazar

  • Learn about the Great Mosque in Cordoba

  • See Gibraltar and the WW II military caves
