Teachers' Travel Leisurely Touring

Frequently asked questions about our tours:

Do I have to be a teacher?
No. Definitely not. Our escorted cultural tours are for people from all professions - not just teachers.

Why is it called Teachers Travel?
The company was founded in 1970 by a group of former teachers.

How large are the groups?
We try to keep the maximum number of participants to  20.

Can I buy just the tour without the airfare from Toronto?
Yes. We can sell just the land portion or we can book flights from other cities.

Can I fly in first class?
Our group flights are in economy class but often there are upgrades available at a surcharge.

How much walking is there on the tour?
Many of the towns have narrow streets that are not suitable for a bus so it is necessary to walk to see the town.  We do this at a relaxed pace but streets are often cobblestoned and rough. Good walking shoes are necessary.

What if I have special dietary needs?
We will try to accommodate special diets as much as possible but please keep in mind that when eating in restaurants they may not have "gluten free" foods.  If you have food allergies you should let us know when booking.
