Walkers' World
Easy guided Walking and Sightseeing Holidays in
Eastern Sicily

2024 Dates:        Oct 25 - Nov 1

Sicily - Fabulous ruins, astonishing hilltowns, beautiful Baroque churches, delectable pastry shops, heady rich wines, gentle seas, warm sun, fragrant orange groves – Sicily has it all. Few places in the world have been as blessed with such a rich heritage. Carthaginians, Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, Normans and the Spanish all contributed to culture and architecture on the Mediterranean's largest island.

Our walks are diverse -
in both towns and wild remote areas, amid mountains and seaside nature reserves, among ancient Roman ruins, along legendary coastline and past baroque Sicilian architecture.

One of the best things about Sicily is the food. Delicious vegetable dishes are derived from ancient recipes using citrus fruit, capers, olives and herbs. Fish is one of the highlights.  Sicilian ice-cream is legendary and comes in wonderful flavours like cinnamon and even jasmine.

On our tour we stay for three nights in a  hotel in the northeast near Taormina.  We then move south to stay near the sea just outside the town of Noto for four nights. Noto is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
