Guided Walking and Sightseeing Holidays in
Turkey

About the walking - Terrain and Level of Difficulty:

Our Turkish walking and sightseeing holiday covers a large area in Turkey so two flights plus several half day bus rides are necessary to do this. When we do have a half day bus ride we stop along the way to stretch our legs at an interesting site.

Walking on the Lycian Coast - in the south, the terrain is undulating and trails vary from very easy to moderate. Distances vary from 5 - 12 kilometres. Hiking boots are essential because of the extremely rocky terrain.

Walking in the Cappadocia region - the paths here are not so stony but there will be ascents and descents in and out of canyons and gorges. Many of the trails are in the valleys of these gorges and are easy walking.

On some days there will be a choice of walk with an easier or more difficult version. This, however, is not always possible - especially on the coastal walks.

Walking in Istanbul - this is a full day of walking much of which is on cobblestone streets. Hiking boots are recommended.

We recommend all participants carry walking sticks.
